A predictive dialer dials ahead and continuously adjusts its pace to how many calls are answered and when agents become free.
Agents spend less time on ringing tones and voicemail. The pace must be set so that, as far as possible, no answered call is left without a free agent.
In Debesis the predictive dialer adjusts the pace automatically; the power dialer is available as an alternative.
