All of these are serious products. We compare them with Debesis so that you can work out the total cost before you sign — not to run anyone down.
Who is compared
We compare a Dutch omnichannel inbox with voice as an add-on (Trengo), a global helpdesk with its own telephony (Zendesk), a helpdesk with a multichannel edition (Freshdesk Omni), an enterprise contact center platform (Genesys) and Debesis, which runs contact center and ticketing under one licence.
- Trengo — omnichannel inbox from Utrecht, strong on WhatsApp and social media; packages with a conversation limit
- Zendesk — helpdesk with telephony; IVR from Suite Professional, AI billed per automated resolution
- Freshdesk Omni — helpdesk with messaging and telephony; skill-based routing only on Enterprise
- Genesys — enterprise CCaaS with a token model for AI; list prices in US dollars
- Debesis — contact center and ticketing in one licence, set-up by the vendor
Pure telephony providers such as Voys are not included: they offer a phone system, not ticketing. If a cloud PBX is all you need, they are usually cheaper than any platform on this page.
Prices at a glance
In short: Trengo €299–499 per month for 10–20 users with a conversation limit (billed yearly); Zendesk €19–115 per agent per month (yearly); Freshdesk Omni $29–119 per agent per month (yearly); Genesys from $75 per user per month. Debesis €39–59 per user per month (€36–54 yearly); numbers in the Netherlands via locally registered partners.
These figures alone are misleading. The table shows what comes on top.

| Trengo | WhatsApp, Instagram, live chat; Dutch vendor | Conversations above the limit (€15–18 per 100), AI conversations, voice as an add-on on Boost and Pro |

What Debesis does not have: live chat, WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook Messenger. Support is in English and Polish.
When another vendor fits better
- Your customers write on WhatsApp, Instagram or chat — Trengo, Zendesk and Freshdesk Omni cover these channels; Debesis does not.
- You only need a phone system — a telephony provider such as Voys is cheaper than any platform here.
- You run a contact center with hundreds of seats — Genesys is built for that scale, including workforce management.
- Email is your main channel and the team is small — Zendesk Support Team (€19) or Freshdesk Growth ($19) cost less than our plans.
- You want support in Dutch — our support is in English and Polish.
When Debesis fits better
- Calls should become cases — telephony and ticketing in one product instead of two contracts and an integration.
- You want to know the bill in advance — no charges per automated resolution, no conversation limits, no tokens.
- You need a complete ACD at a fixed price — skill and language routing, predictive dialer, call monitoring and wallboard in the licence price.
- You handle complaints and RMA — with a dedicated module none of the four includes.
- You want to start without a partner — set-up by the vendor, €490 one-off.
- You need an AI voice assistant in Dutch — on the same platform and invoice.
Summary
If messaging is your main channel, Trengo is the natural fit; for an enterprise contact center with workforce management, Genesys; for email-first teams with few seats, Zendesk or Freshdesk. Debesis pays off where calls turn into cases and the bill should be known up front: ACD, dialers, recording and ticketing in one licence, with the AI voice assistant on the same platform — without per-resolution charges or tokens.
